Gunung Tapis ?
Its crazy I think....

Day 1, Saturday 16 August 2008
After Pertak, we contemplated of going to Sg Liang. Well, its been a long while since we last went there. Then, Fizi supposedly organised a trip to Lepar. However, due to many factors, both plans went down the drain.....
And there I was, just touched down at KLIA from Bangkok, hoping that the trip would somehow be postponed. Reached home around 3:00pm... called Wady whom said he has to back out due to some work commitment. Called Romeo... and was told that we - the three left - was to meet up with Mat Yani of Carabao for their Gunung Tapis excursion. And the bummer was, Mat Yani has already gone on the trip since Friday.... hmmmm
At around 4:00pm, May & I left our home... arriving in Bentong just around 6:00pm..... Aziz was already at Romeo's place. Romeo's neighbour had a kenduri going on... and we were cordially invited to join. Half an hour or so later, we were on our way to Sri Jaya where a guide would meet up with us to bring us to the campsite where Mat Yani & his gang would be on their second nite of camping. At the Sri Jaya toll, Ridzuan (co-pilot to Aziz @ Tango Tango) joined us - he came down from Kuantan.....
after midnite Day 1
Arrived at the campsite just before midnite.... it was raining heavyly since we were at Sri Jaya. Mat Yani advised us not to unload our stuff from the rigs as the water level was on rising mode. And true enuff, almost two hours later, we were scrambling like crazy moving the tents and beds onto higher ground! Luckily we managed to get everything to safety before the camp area became flooded!

Part of what used to be the campground were underwater....
All were not lost tho'... PokDek seen here collecting the overnite catch from an almost washed away net....
This entrance to the campground from the 'main road' were on dry land when we arrived last nite!
We packed up at around 10:00am... and the plan was to find a better place for relaxing and maybe a swim...
The trail was light & easy... and nice scenery....
And all hit the water when we arrived the destination....

Well, that was that. A really tiring trip.... errrr.... rather, a very long week for me...
It was I think, yet another enjoyable outing for the group!
